Conference Speakers

Paul Whitt began working with teenagers as a high school sports writer for a daily newspaper. It was during this time that the Lord called him into full-time Christian service. After receiving an M.A. in Pastoral Studies from Bob Jones University, he served as youth pastor at Berean Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA for over 10 years. He has spoken at Youth Conferences, Teen and Father/Son Retreats, College and High School chapels and a Missionary Teen Retreat in Spain. He has taught youth ministries’ workshops at Youth Workers’ Conferences, and classes on the collegiate level. Paul also has a tremendous burden for young people being involved in missions, and has led several trips to various places including the Dominican Republic, Barbados, St. Kitts, Dominica, England, Scotland, and Carriacou, Grenada.  He joined the staff at Northland in 2005 and is currently Associate VP of Student Affairs and Camp Ministries as he serves as Dean of Students of NBBC and Camp Manager of Northland Camp.

     

Matt Williams was called into full-time ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served faithfully for 32 years first as youth pastor, and then as Associate Pastor. Following the Lord’s leading, in 2004, Matt and his family moved from their ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church to join the staff at Northland Baptist Bible College, where he currently serves on the Executive Administrative Staff, as the Vice President for Ministry Affairs. He also now serves as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools. He presents the "Looking for the Leaders" leadership material each year in many Christians schools around the country. He has been the director of Student Leadership Conferences for the last 10 years.

     

Mike Glanzer received a B.S. in Accounting from Bob Jones University. He has spent 17 years counseling and “raising” college age young people, troubled teens and children. He served at Good Shepherd Children’s Home for 12 years and was the Executive Director for 10 of those years. He developed a leadership development curriculum for Christian High School students and a character development course for junior high students. He taught in Christian day school while directing the Children’s home, and now regularly preaches and speaks at youth conferences and churches around the country. In 2002, Mike joined the staff of Northland Baptist Bible College, heading up several departments as Associate VP of Student Advancement. He also preaches on a regular basis and serves as a youth pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Kingsford, MI.

     
     

Kevin Williams has been serving as Youth Pastor at Tri-City since the summer of 2003. He is a high school graduate of Tri-City Christian School. He received a B.A. in Bible from Bob Jones University and a M.A. in Pastoral Studies from Heart of America Seminary. Kevin and his wife Holly have been involved in a variety of ministries including summer camps, Christian schools, and missions work. Kevin served for a year as the interim pastor at Vilnius Bible Baptist Church in Vilnius, Lithuania. He has a burden to see teenagers find and follow God’s will for their lives.

     

Keith Wiebe, Jr. has been part of the staff at Grace Gospel Church in Huntington, WV since 1994. As a Junior in college, he recognized that God was calling him into the ministry, and changed his course of study from business to Bible. Keith leads the youth ministry and also directs Compass, the singles ministry at Grace. He oversees the Go Teams and other outreach ministries, as well as various discipleship activities. Pastor Keith has a passion to see people introduced to Christ, and then experience the life change that comes from an understanding of and commitment to God’s Word. One of his favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Keith speaks every year at regional Leadership conferences and "Looking for the Leaders" conferences around the country.

     

Bob RobertsAnyone who has heard Bob Roberts teach children can understand why he is a favorite among children and adults alike. Bob is gifted in communicating his heart for God, for children, and for those who minister to children.  Bob uses every opportunity to spread the message that it is absolutely vital to teach doctrine to children, and to teach it in a way that fosters authentic understanding and application. Bob believes that children can learn and genuinely apply divine truth if it is taught creatively and faithfully. Kids 4 Truth is all about teaching children that “it’s all about God!” Bob spent six years as Director of Children’s Ministries at Tri-City Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. During that time, he began developing a program and writing a children’s curriculum called Kids 4 Truth. Bob has been ministering full time through Kids 4 Truth International, inspiring and equipping local churches, families, and other children’s ministry leaders to communicate the most important truths about God, man, and eternity to boys and girls everywhere.

     

Keven BrownfieldAfter Keven trusted Christ in 1980 he traveled with Life Action Ministries for three years. Upon leaving Life Action, Keven became youth pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Antioch, TN. After seven years as the Staff Evangelist of Northland Baptist Bible College, Brownfield Revival Ministries was birthed. Brownfield Revival Ministries moved to Tri-City Baptist Church in Independence, MO, serving under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Carl Herbster for four years. Keven also is the Director of Extension Ministries and a professor of bible and practical theology at Northland Baptist Bible College. This is Keven’s 28 th year of preaching ministry.

     

Aaron Harshaw has a passion for preaching God’s Word and serving God’s people with an evangelistic, energetic style. At age thirteen Aaron came face to face with the reality of his hypocritical, miserably lost condition and was gloriously saved. In 1994 Aaron graduated from BJU with a B.A. in Bible. In 1999, he graduated with a M.Div. from Heart of America Theological Seminary, and is presently pursuing his doctorate at Northland Baptist Bible College. Aaron has traveled part-time in evangelistic and revival meetings since 1996 and is a favorite speaker for conferences and retreats because of his animated, Christ-centered style. Aaron and his family served on staff at Southland Christian Camp in Ringgold, Louisiana for five years, and he continues to preach in camps during the summers.
