Meet the Director

Matt Williams was called into full-time ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served faithfully for 32 years first as youth pastor, and then Associate Pastor. While there, he also served for 10 years as Administrator at Tri-City Christian School, and then for 20 years as Executive Director for the Missouri Association of Christian Schools and the Mid-America Association of Christian Schools. In 1988, he initiated the Student Leadership Conferences for the American Association of Christian Schools and has been the AACS Director of the Student Leadership Conferences ministry for the past 10 years. Following the Lord’s leading, in 2004, Matt and his family moved from their ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church to join the staff at Northland Baptist Bible College, where he currently serves on the Executive Administrative Staff as the Vice President for Ministry Affairs. He also now serves as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools.

Dr. Williams is a frequent speaker at Student Leadership Conferences around the country. As a result of many years of involvment in Christian Education, he has developed a burden and a vision for the need for Biblical Leaders among today's Christian teens. Under his leadership, Student Leadership Conferences has grown and will continue to extend its ministry of leadership training to as many ministries as possible.

Dr. Williams has written two books, How To Be a Team Player and Enjoy It – A Study in Staff Relationships and Biblical Leadership – Becoming a Different Kind of Leader, co-authored with Ken Collier.
